Château de Barbe Blanche featured at a tasting in the Hotel Bristol in Paris to honour winners of the Coupe des Vins de Saint-Émilion

This tasting was organised on the 23rd of October at the Bristol, one of the finest luxury hotels in Paris, and a mecca for lovers of French gastronomy. The event was held in honour of the winners of the Saint-Émilion Wine Cup, designated in June during Vinexpo Bordeaux. Organised by the Saint-Émilion Wine Council, Terre de Vins magazine, and other partners (including Riedel), this evening was a fine opportunity for Bordeaux wines to be presented to loyal consumers and new converts.

Château de Barbe Blanche, winner of the 2015 Cup in the Lussac Saint-Émilion category , was represented by cellarmaster Sébastien Ravilly.

Over 500 people attended a convivial event at the Hotel Bristol along with the competition winners, finalists, and semi-finalists, and enjoyed one vintage selected by the latter (who could choose between 2010, 2011, and 2012).

The tasting was a great success!

bouteille Barbe Blanche 2010

Seeing as it is ready to drink, the 2010 vintage of Château de Barbe Blanche was chosen by our cellarmaster.

This was also an opportunity to present the estate and discuss various aspects of the wine with participants. Sébastien Ravilly was more than welling to answer questions and to help people discover or deepen their understanding of the wine.

Sampled throughout the evening, 2010 Château Barbe Blanche was one of the most-appreciated wines at the tasting, not only because of its intrinsic quality, but also because it exemplifies excellent value for money.

Tasters were particularly attracted by the wine's beautiful concentration, tremendous fruit, remarkable freshness, and finesse.

This is hardly surprising considering that it won a gold medal at the Paris International Agricultural Show in 2013...
