Vineyard manager's assistant for Pessac-Léognan

Olivier Cornu was born in Vic-Fezensac in the Armagnac region in 1972. After his university education in biology, Olivier's first work experience was managing a farm (mixed farming) for seven years in his native Gers department. Aware of the limited prospects for traditional agriculture, he decided to focus on winemaking and earned extra credits in order to obtain a vocational training certificate in viticulture and oenology.

He then went to work for Vignobles Ducourt, a firm with a long family tradition, managing several vineyards in the Gironde department before going to Chile to make wine with Jacques Lurton.

Job and know-how

In 2003, Olivier Cornu became a member of the Vignobles André Lurton team when he was named cellarmaster at Château La Louvière.

Since 2010, he has assisted Isabelle Labaudinière, Vineyard Manager of the five André Lurton châteaux in the Pessac-Léognan appellation in charge of forty employees.
