Château Bonnet White

Very Sauvignon, this wine of André Lurton at an affordable price, is an example of "everyday wine": succulent aromas of pear and tropical fruit, nervous and expressive on the palate, clean finish and well-defined . Intelligent, vibrant easy to drink yet.

Chateau : Château Bonnet
2016 white château Bonnet label
Appellation : Entre-deux-Mers

Wine style

Fresh and Fruity

Grape blend

Sauvignon blanc 57% / Sémillon 43%

Weather

2016 was one of the finest vintages in the past 20 years. Winter was exceptionally wet and mild, and it rained a great deal in spring until June. However, the weather changed radically in mid-June, turning warm and quite dry, with cool nights. Ideal conditions for growing excellent wine grapes!

Tasting Comment

Appareance

2016 Château Bonnet has a very pale brilliant colour.

Nose

Sauvignon Blanc aromas predominate, with complex nuances of tropical fruit and citrus that will delight people who love wines from this estate, and who appreciate its intense yet ethereal bouquet. There are also hints of yellow peach, showing that the grapes were picked very ripe.

Mouth

Quite rich and full-bodied. The freshness enables the flavours to last from beginning to end of the tasting. Although still very young, this wine has a soft, pleasant, velvety aftertaste. It is very balanced and charming as an aperitif, or with salads and seafood dishes.

Le Guide Hachette :

2018 Edition - Floral hints and resin aromas complement each other on the nose. On the palate, the wine is soft and fresh, focused on the fruit, especially peaches and citrus. Uncomplicated and attractive. 2017-2019. fourchette Seafood platter.

Fruity and tangy with lemon-rind and crushed-stone character. Medium body, bright acidity and a lively finish. Always delicious. Screw cap.
