Appellation : Bordeaux

Wine style

Rich and Powerful

Grape blend

Merlot 50% / Cabernet Sauvignon 50%.

2015 was the third warmest year since 1900... Drought conditions, above-average monthly temperatures and sunshine (in the first half of the year), cool nights and hot weather in August accompanying véraison (colour change) were all ideal for the vines!

Tasting Comment

Deep, dark, ruby-red colour with purple highlights.

Rich, complex bouquet of red fruit (morello cherry), wax, and Virginia tobacco.

Starts out smooth and straightforward on the palate. Generous, refined, and well-balanced with beautiful structure, as well as wonderful concentration and delicious flavours of ripe red and black fruit. The tannin is particularly soft. The aftertaste features hints of sweet spice (cinnamon). The wine shows great vivaciousness and freshness that make it very appetising. In order to make the most of its qualities, you might wish to enjoy it with beef, lamb, or quiche.

Some mellow red berries, plums and fresh leather on the nose here. It delivers a punchy bright palate. Acidity is a highlight. Drink now. (James Suckling)

The Wine Spectator :

Web only -  Bitter plum and cherry fruit flavors are framed with a singed vanilla note. The chalky spine carries through the herb-tinged finish. Drink now. (James Molesworth)

Le Guide Hachette :
 - Note :

2018 Edition - This equal blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon has an intense bouquet of red-berry fruit, blackcurrants, and blueberries, with smooth oak overtones. It is long, very well-balanced, and fruity on the palate, as well as full-bodied, rich, and fresh, backed up by firm tannins. Characterful, elegant, and harmonious. 2019-2022. fourchette Rib of beef.

This shows plenty of ripe fruit with spice and chocolate character. Full body, velvety tannins and a flavorful finish.
