Château Goumin Rosé

Home > Our Wines > Our wines > Château Goumin Rosé

Located on a slope facing due south, Château Goumin has a splendid terroir. Grown on clay-limestone soil, the vines produce an excellent rosé (A.O.C. Bordeaux Rosé) displaying considerable smoothness and finesse. This delicate wine is perfect, for example, with a light meal on a summer's evening...

château Goumin rosé 2012 label
Appellation : Bordeaux

Wine style

Fresh and Fruity

Grape blend

Merlot 50% / Cabernet Sauvignon 50%

Weather

Spring was very trying, with considerable rainfall leading to fungal diseases of all sorts. This called for very close attention in the vines until the 14th of July, when the weather changed durably for the better.

Tasting Comment

Appareance

This attractive rosé has a very pale, luminous colour.

Nose

A bouquet reminiscent of blackcurrant buds and redcurrant.

Mouth

The wine is fresh and tangy on the palate thanks to Cabernet Sauvignon, which accounts for much of its charm. Long, elegant raspberry aftertaste.

Consumption period

2013 - 2015.
