Château Goumin Red

Home > Our Wines > Our wines > Château Goumin Rouge

Located on a slope facing due south, Château Goumin has a splendid terroir. Grown on clay-limestone soil, the vines produce red wines with the Bordeaux appellation. These are pleasant and have a velvety texture. Then can be enjoyed young, but also age very well.

Chateau : Château Bonnet
Château Goumin red 2012 label
Appellation : Bordeaux

Wine style

Soft and Sensual

Grape blend

Merlot 50% / Cabernet Sauvignon 50%

Weather

Spring was very trying, with considerable rainfall leading to fungal diseases of all sorts. This called for very close attention in the vines until the 14th of July, when the weather changed durably for the better.

Fine brilliant colour with purple highlights.

Nose

This delicious 2012 features rich, complex red fruit aromas.

A very fruity, delicious wine with great balance and body. It is a treat with cassoulet, veal chops, and other white meats.
