Château Tour de Bonnet Red

Home > Our Wines > Our wines > Château Tour de Bonnet Rouge

Château Tour de Bonnet exists in white, rosé and red versions. This wine was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of a belvedere by André Lurton's grandfather, Léonce Récapet. The deep red colour is extremely attractive and the smooth, delicious and very soft tannin provides backbone to the long, elegant and fruity aftertaste.

Chateau : Château Bonnet
label of 2016 red Château Tour de Bonnet
Appellation : Bordeaux

Wine style

Soft and Sensual

Grape blend

Merlot 50 % / Cabernet Sauvignon 50%

Weather

2016 was one of the finest vintages in the past 20 years. Winter was exceptionally wet and mild, and it rained a great deal in spring until June. However, the weather changed radically in mid-June, turning warm and quite dry, with cool nights. Ideal conditions for growing excellent wine grapes!

Tasting Comment

Appareance

Brilliant and very attractive reddish/deep-purple colour.

Nose

Fruity delightful bouquet. Exquisite hints of red fruit (cherry, strawberry) combined with a subtle touch of liquorice.

Mouth

Smooth and fresh on the palate. This round, delicious wine has slightly jammy red fruit (cherry) flavours. 2016 Tour de Bonnet is much appreciated for its freshness and beautiful balance. It is a treat as of now with delicatessen meats, poultry, and cheeses.

Consumption period

2018 - 2021
