Château Tour de Ségur Red

Home > Our Wines > Our wines > Château Tour de Ségur Rouge

Made from a terroir of character, the wines of Chateau Tour de Segur are distinguished by their deep color  and the subtle bouquet, all in finesse and generosity.

2014 red Château Tour de Ségur label

Wine style

Soft and Sensual

Grape blend

70% Merlot 70% / Cabernet Franc 20% / Cabernet Sauvignon 10%

Weather

Winter and spring were very mild, but the summer of 2014 did not live up to our expectations: it rained heavily in July, and August was much cooler than usual. However, starting in September, a miraculous Indian summer with high temperatures, was very favourable to ripening.

Tasting Comment

Appareance

This attractive Lussac-Saint-Émilion is is a sumptuous, deep-red colour.

Nose

On aeration, the bouquet is very forward, with intense, red-berry fruit and well-integrated, slightly toasty oak.

Mouth

This wine is well-balanced on the palate, with smooth tannins and a very elegant aftertaste. The intense, red-berry fruit and good acidity give a pleasant impression of freshness, especially on the aftertaste. This Tour de Ségur 2014 will be most enjoyable with delicatessen meats, rib of beef with red-wine sauce, or even sausages and beans.

Consumption period

2018 - 2026
