Château de Quantin Red

Home > Our Wines > Our wines > Château de Quantin Rouge

The vines at Quantin grow on deep gravel to produce a red wine with very ripe, smoky aromas. This is very elegant on the palate with solid, well-extracted tannin and an attractive personality in all vintages.

2014 red Château de Quantin label
Appellation : Pessac-Léognan

Wine style

Rich and Powerful

Grape blend

Cabernet sauvignon 50% / Merlot 50%.

Weather

Tasting Comment

Appareance

This Château de Quantin is a lovely, brilliant, deep carmine-red colour with garnet-red highlights.

Nose

On the nose, it has delightful fresh-fruit aromas (blackcurrants and redcurrants) with subtle vanilla notes. The well-integrated oak enhances the aromatic expression of the fruit.

Mouth

The initial impression on the palate is lively and soft. Hints of vanilla and roasted coffee blend perfectly with strawberry aromas. This wine's characteristic richness, body, and length give it a lovely balance. It makes a fine accompaniment to all roasted red meats and is ideal for relaxing with friends…
