Minister Le Foll – accompanied by Alain Rousset (President of the Aquitaine region), Senator Gérard César, several members of parliament (Marie Récalde, Gilles Savary, etc.), and members of the Gironde General Council – bestowed this distinction on 24 September 2013 at Château La Louvière in Léognan in homage to André Lurton, founder of the Pessac-Léognan appellation and staunch defender of winegrowing terroirs in Bordeaux. A hundred guests, including numerous fellow winegrowers and key representatives of the wine industry, attended the event. |
