In the year following the 30th anniversary of the Pessac Léognan appellation, Vignobles André Lurton is pleased to announce that two Pessac Léognan white wines have gained national distribution with Waitrose: Chateau La Louvière and Chateau de Cruzeau. In addition to this their wines are now being sold in premium independent wine retailers, all over the UK, such as Theatre of Wine (London), Grape & Grind (Bristol), Flagship Wines (Herts), Latitude Wines (Leeds), St Andrews Wine Company (Scotland) and many more.
The International Wine Challenge Gold-medal winning Chateau de Cruzeau 2015 is a very stylish Sauvignon Blanc retailing at £17.99 (at Waitrose). It is accompanied by one of the top wines of the André Lurton estates: Chateau La Louvière Blanc 2013 , a barrel-fermented Sauvignon/Semillon blend, £24.99.
Since early 2017, the full range of André Lurton wines is available from multi award winning agency, Daniel Lambert Wines Ltd (off-trade/national) and Theatre of Wine (on-trade/London). Les Vignobles André Lurton is first and foremost a family estate. It was established in the 1950s by André Lurton and, with over 600 hectares today, it has become one of the largest and most important producers of the Bordeaux region.
A visionary and force of nature, André Lurton founded the AOC Pessac Léognan in 1987 after 20 years of negotiations. He pioneered the aromatic white wine style of the appellation Pessac Léognan, of which Les Vignobles André Lurton is the most important producer. Since its creation, both reds and whites from Pessac Léognan have earned a reputation for outstanding value from customers.
Today, over 60 years of pioneering viticulture give us a perfect knowledge of our terroirs in Entre-Deux-Mers, Pessac Léognan and Lussac Saint-Emilion. Our experience, assured by the dedication and passion of our people, and combined with ancestral know-how and state-of-the-art technology, is fully expressed in our wines.
