In the most recent issue of Decanter magazine, Jane Anson, their Bordeaux correspondent, has written an article devoted to 2011 Bordeaux & Bordeaux Supérieur. This article also includes tasting notes for these wines.
Château Grossombre de Saint-Joseph 2011 has been recommended and rewarded with a 15,5/20.
« 2011 Château Grossombre de Saint-Joseph:
Recommended. A lesser-known Beatrice Lurton wine (daughter of André Lurton of Château Bonnet and Château Rochemorin, among many others). A touch thin on finish, but overall this is a good fresh, juicy expression of Carbernet Sauvignon and Merlot Fruit, very well handled on the extraction so there is no bitterness. Drink 2013-2017. Alc 12,5% abv.” (Jane Anson)
