Vincent Cruège

Group Winemaking Director
Director of External Relations

Vincent Cruège was born in Bordeaux, where his mother, one of the first women ever to receive a degree in oenology, introduced him to this science at an early age and shared her love of wine with him. After studying biochemistry, Vincent followed in his mother's footsteps and received his oenology diploma in 1991. He went to work for Vignobles André Lurton at the end of his studies and became cellarmaster at Château La Louvière.

Job and know-how

For years, Vincent was Deputy Production Manager in charge of winemaking at estates in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Thanks to his long experience and expertise, especially with regard to great dry white wines made with Sauvignon Blanc (for which the Graves has long been famous), he was asked to be in charge of the cellar teams at Châteaux La Louvière, Couhins-Lurton (a Graves great growth) as well as Rochemorin et de Cruzeau.

On 1 December 2013, Vincent Cruège was appointed Head Oenologist of Vignobles André Lurton, taking over from Michel Gaillard, who retired.

For the past several years, Vincent has been a member of the Executive Management Committee of Vignobles André Lurton, with the title of Director of External Relations. Adding a new a new string to his bow, and after having graduated from the Wine-MBA programme at the Bordeaux Business School in 2009, he is now also in charge of corporate strategy and communication.
