Real Estate, Logistics & General Purchasing Director
Born in Bordeaux in 1967, Laurent Mellié started out working in the wood industry. The holder of a vocational certificate qualifying him to be a carpenter-joiner, Laurent then took courses with the Compagnons du Tour de France (an organization of craftsmen and artisans dating from the Middle Ages), and went on to obtain an advanced vocational diploma in construction studies and economics. He came to work at the Vignobles André Lurton joinery and carpentry workshop in 1985.
A dedicated worker, responsive to the firm's needs and open to change, Laurent Mellié currently has many responsibilities at Vignobles André Lurton.
Since 2008, he has been Director of Logistics Real Estate and General Resources for Vignobles André Lurton. In this capacity, he manages the group's property assets (for both Vignobles André Lurton and associated vineyards), sets budgets for buildings, defines procedures, supervises the fleet of vehicles and oversees the operating budget for all divisions (supplies, consumables, etc...).
The running of mechanical workshops, building and renovation work, ensuring the functioning of technical installations, as well as technical and logistical coordination are likewise within his remit, as are landscaping, fitting out work areas, upkeep and protection of green spaces, hygiene, cleanliness and environmental concerns. Very committed to environmental protection and heath, he was closely involved in setting up an Environmental Management System (EMS) and keeps a close eye on its application...
Laurent heads a team of 18 employees spread out over the various estates. In addition, he supervises the firm's packaging and shipping activities from both management and technical standpoints.
