Château Bonnet Réserve White

Château Bonnet Réserve is made from selected plots of just a few hectares from among the estate's 120 hectares. This white wine is produced sustainably from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon grapes.

Chateau : Château Bonnet
label château Bonnet réserve 2010 white
Appellation : Entre-deux-Mers

Wine style

Tender and Aromatic

Grape blend

Sauvignon 65% / Sémillon 35%.

Weather

Winter was harsh (many days with frost) and spring rather chilly. There was a great deal of sunshine in 2010 and a long period of drought from 21 June to late September, which was favourable for ripening.

Tasting Comment

Appearance

Pale gold with sparkling highlights, catches the light beautifully.

Nose

The nose is a cornucopia of fruits, citrus, yellow and white peach and passionfruit, sunripe and mingling deliciously with acacia blossom… A hint of spice and vanilla adds another touch of class.

Mouth

Upfront, the wine is all freshness and tropical fruit. But this is soon superseded by a sensation of smooth richness that is quite unexpected in an Entre-deux-Mers:  Bonnet Réserve is rich, opulent, displaying fine-tuned oak with delightful lingering lemony notes which make this the ideal partner for pan-cooked salmon, grilled crayfish or even a free-range chicken.

Fresh and appealing white bordeaux with elements of citrus, yellow plums, nettle and a hint of lanolin and oak on the nose. Medium-bodied wine with lightly creamy texture, nice acidity, good length and citrus characterized and dry finish.
