Château Bonnet is one of Bordeaux’s consistently reliable wines. Vignobles André Lurton are committed to making wines that are both fullbodied and balanced, like this Reserve cuvee, which typifies classic Bordeaux. Its faultless pedigree is revealed in its elegant balance, depth and charm.
Rich and Powerful
Merlot 50% / Cabernet Sauvignon 50%.
Temperatures were much higher than average from February to June, with much less rainfall than usual. There were already signs of drought at the end of Spring.
Deep, concentrated scarlet colour.
Elegant nose that is still restrained because of its youth, but with obvious underlying complexity.
The wine starts out straightforward and well-defined on the palate with the fruitiness typical of the 2011 vintage. There are a host of forest fruit flavours accompanied by smoky, vanilla nuances. The long aftertaste has overtones of Virginia tobacco.

2015 Édition - Close in style, vinous and well-structured, but showing somewhat more oak.
In the Lurton family since the 1890s, this is delicious, a real testament to the quality of the winemaking, as large quantities are produced without sacrificing personality in the wine. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot, with soft tannins that offer structure to the autumnal fruits without getting in the way. Drink 2013-2017. (Jane Anson)
Very attractive, deep colour and a lovely nose of red fruit and kirsch. There are also vanilla and mocha nuances contributed by oak ageing. Plenty of substance and beautiful balance on the palate. Fruity with a touch of freshness on the finish. Very attractive with an ageing potential of several years.
Well put together Bordeaux with a good balance between fruit and oak. Straightforward and full-boded, with fine-grained tannin and a long aftertaste.
