Château Bonnet Red

Thanks to expressive fruit – but without excessive concentration – Château Bonnet's red wine is unquestionably charming. In fact, it is a benchmark in Bordeaux. The wine is best enjoyed on the young side, although the quality tannin ensures good ageing for several year.

Chateau : Château Bonnet
2015 red Château Bonnet label
Appellation : Bordeaux

Wine style

Tender and Aromatic

Grape blend

Merlot 50 % / Cabernet Sauvignon 50%

Weather

2015 was the third warmest year since 1900... Drought conditions, above-average monthly temperatures and sunshine (in the first half of the year), cool nights and hot weather in August accompanying véraison (colour change) were all ideal for the vines!

Tasting Comment

Appareance

Concentrated red colour with darker purple highlights.

Nose

Powerful bouquet with attractive hints of blackcurrant, as well as other fruits such as black cherry and blueberry.

Mouth

Full-bodied. The soft tannin provides beautiful balance and great length. The flavour profile follows through from the bouquet, accompanied by spicy overtones. This delicious fruity wine is delightful young. It is idea with poultry and pasta dishes.
