Located on a slope facing due south, Château Goumin has a splendid terroir. Grown on clay-limestone soil, the vines produce red wines with the Bordeaux appellation. These are pleasant and have a velvety texture. Then can be enjoyed young, but also age very well.
Soft and Sensual
Merlot 50% / Cabernet Sauvignon 50%
Temperatures were much higher than average from February to June, with much less rainfall than usual. There were already signs of drought at the end of Spring.
Goumin produces excellent wines every year. The 2011 has an attractive, dark, ruby-red colour.
The subtle bouquet needs a little aeration to reveal intense fruity and spicy aromas.
The wine starts out smooth and round on the palate, going on to show good structure thanks to tannin that is already smooth and well-integrated.
2013 - 2019.
