Château Goumin Red

Located on a slope facing due south, Château Goumin has a splendid terroir. Grown on clay-limestone soil, the vines produce red wines with the Bordeaux appellation. These are pleasant and have a velvety texture. Then can be enjoyed young, but also age very well.

Chateau : Château Bonnet
label of 2015 red Château Goumin
Appellation : Bordeaux

Wine style

Soft and Sensual

Grape blend

Cabernet Sauvignon 50% / Merlot 50%.

Weather

2015 was the third warmest year since 1900... Drought conditions, above-average monthly temperatures and sunshine (in the first half of the year), cool nights and hot weather in August accompanying véraison (colour change) were all ideal for the vines!

Tasting Comment

Brilliant, deep, elegant red colour with lovely purple highlights.

Generous, with a beautiful structure and slightly toasty overtones.

Mouth

Very round and attractive on the palate. Both tannic and fruity (ripe fruit), and quite a fine structure.  Ideal with roasts, quiches, and cheeses.
