Château Goumin Red
Located on a slope facing due south, Château Goumin has a splendid terroir. Grown on clay-limestone soil, the vines produce red wines with the Bordeaux appellation. These are pleasant and have a velvety texture. Then can be enjoyed young, but also age very well.

Weather
2016 was one of the finest vintages in the past 20 years. Winter was exceptionally wet and mild, and it rained a great deal in spring until June. However, the weather changed radically in mid-June, turning warm and quite dry, with cool nights. Ideal conditions for growing excellent wine grapes!
Tasting Comment
Appearance
2016 Château Goumin has a wonderfully brilliant, vivacious red colour with purple highlights.
Nose
The nose is very attractive and charming with hints of red fruit (redcurrant and cherry).
Mouth
The wine is full and round on the palate, with delicate, fresh, fruity nuances and well-integrated oak. It is quite delicious, especially with cold cuts, red meats, and cheeses.
