Château Tour de Bonnet Rosé

Home > Our Wines > Our wines > Château Tour de Bonnet Rosé

Château Tour de Bonnet exists in white, rosé and red versions. This wine was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of a belvedere by André Lurton's grandfather, Léonce Récapet. The rosé has a bouquet with floral nuances as well as a velvety texture on the palate with just the right amount of freshness on the aftertaste. Very long, pleasant finish.

Wine style

Fresh and Fruity

Grape blend

Cabernet sauvignon 55% / Merlot 38% / Sémillon 7%

Weather

2020 was marked by very mild temperatures and contrasting precipitation: heavy spring rainfall was followed by an intense summer drought. The fairly mild winter led to early bud break. The summer heat gave way to cool nights in late August, ideal for ripening grapes.

Tasting Comment

Appearance

2020 Château Tour de Bonnet rosé is a brilliant, fairly pale salmon-pink colour, interspersed with silver highlights.

Nose

The nose is fresh and intense, with wonderfully complex notes of white fruit (peach), citrus (pink grapefruit), and honeysuckle, which blend together marvellously.

Mouth

Starts off smooth, becoming beautifully round mid-palate. A slight touch of acidity contributes welcome freshness. A well-balanced rosé with a lovely long aftertaste, with delicious lingering white fruit notes, reminiscent of the bouquet. This Château Tour de Bonnet rosé is a real treat with grilled fish, melon and Parma ham, or an array of delicatessen meats.
