Château Tour de Bonnet Rosé

Château Tour de Bonnet exists in white, rosé and red versions. This wine was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of a belvedere by André Lurton's grandfather, Léonce Récapet. The rosé has a bouquet with floral nuances as well as a velvety texture on the palate with just the right amount of freshness on the aftertaste. Very long, pleasant finish.

Merlot 50% / Cabernet Sauvignon 50%.

Weather

Temperatures were much higher than average from February to June, with much less rainfall than usual. There were already signs of drought at the end of Spring.

Tasting Comment

Appareance

Sprightly, clear, brilliant colour.

Nose

Lively bouquet of raspberry and grapefruit.

Mouth

The perfect blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the former bringing aromatic intensity, the latter freshness and personality. Omnipresent raspberry notes conjure images of biting into the ripe fruit itself. Excellent balance, will be a fine accompaniment to grilled gambas or summer salads. (January, 2012)
