Château Tour de Bonnet Rosé

Château Tour de Bonnet exists in white, rosé and red versions. This wine was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of a belvedere by André Lurton's grandfather, Léonce Récapet. The rosé has a bouquet with floral nuances as well as a velvety texture on the palate with just the right amount of freshness on the aftertaste. Very long, pleasant finish.

Wine style

Fresh and Fruity

Grape blend

Merlot 45% / Cabernet Sauvignon 45% / Sémillon 10%

2019 was marked by a fairly mild winter, resulting in early bud break. Spring rainfall was scarce and drought conditions set in in early summer. Rainfall in August provided a welcome relief for winegrowers.

Tasting Comment

Beautiful, brilliant pale salmon-pink colour with silver highlights.

The initial impression on the nose is of a fairly discreet wine, which requires aeration to fully unveil its qualities, which are worth waiting for! An eminently enjoyable wine, gradually revealing delicious notes of white fruit and vineyard peaches, enhanced by floral nuances.

Starts out straightforward, crisp and beautifully round on the palate. But these are not its only qualities... Good length and complexity are the watchwords here, providing the perfect balance between freshness and richness. Ideal as an aperitif served with tapas or as an accompaniment to pizza or grilled fish.

Ratings and reviews

Le Guide Hachette 2021 :
 - Note :

This delicate rosé is a clear, pale pink colour and features peppermint aromas. Well-balanced on the palate, it reveals intense notes of elderflower and lychee. The finish is long and harmonious. 2020-2021.

Gilbert et Gaillard :

Very pale pink colour. The "gunflint" nose reveals a touch of red fruit with aeration. Crisp, light and well-balanced on the palate, with a fruity core. An uncomplicated, straightforward rosé, perfect shared over a barbecue.
