Château Tour de Bonnet Red
Château Tour de Bonnet exists in white, rosé and red versions. This wine was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of a belvedere by André Lurton's grandfather, Léonce Récapet. The deep red colour is extremely attractive and the smooth, delicious and very soft tannin provides backbone to the long, elegant and fruity aftertaste.

Weather
2007 was cool and wet from May to August, and not particularly conducive to ripening for the red wine varieties. A beautiful month of September – warm and relatively dry – meant that the grapes could be picked over a long period at perfect ripeness.
Tasting Comment
Appearance
Deep, intense red, a few orange swirls show that it is reaching peak maturity.
Nose
Still showing fresh fruit notes, proof of a quality terroir and virtuoso winemaking. The classic red fruit notes, but with some blackberry and cassis, highlighted by delicate smoky tones.
Mouth
The balance and harmony of the ensemble comes across at the first sip, the fruit is still present, succulent and mouthwatering. The finish is crisp and long. Ready to drink now, with a prime steak or rack of lamb, or why not a "blanquette de veau".
