Château Tour de Bonnet Red
Château Tour de Bonnet exists in white, rosé and red versions. This wine was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of a belvedere by André Lurton's grandfather, Léonce Récapet. The deep red colour is extremely attractive and the smooth, delicious and very soft tannin provides backbone to the long, elegant and fruity aftertaste.

Weather
The main features this year were humidity and cold. There were heavy rains in April and May (during the vegetative cycle) and a cool summer, especially in June and August. Warm, dry weather in September enhanced ripening.

Appearance
Shows the perfect ripeness of the vintage, with all the savours of grapes harvested at peak potential now revealing their full elegance.
Nose
The nose is delicate, with soaring notes of red fruit and some elusive toasty aromas.
Mouth
The palate is instantly harmonious, supple, opulent, with melting tannins. Mouthwatering, easy to drink, perfect with delicatessen or choice cuts of your favourite meat. (January, 2012)

This tour was added in the early 20th century by André Lurton's grandfather to an existing 18th century château. It affirms the family's long presence in the Bordeaux region. The jury was in unanimous agreement as to the quality of this 2008, which has a deep garnet-red colour with crimson highlights as well as a seductive bouquet of spice, red fruit, and subtle oak. It also features a delicious, rich, full-bodied flavour and a plum and vanilla aftertaste. A wine to age for at least two years.
