Château Tour de Bonnet Red

Château Tour de Bonnet exists in white, rosé and red versions. This wine was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of a belvedere by André Lurton's grandfather, Léonce Récapet. The deep red colour is extremely attractive and the smooth, delicious and very soft tannin provides backbone to the long, elegant and fruity aftertaste.

Tasting Comment

Appearance

This 2011 has an intense red colour with purplish highlights.

Nose

Consisting of 50% Cabernet and 50% Merlot, it has concentrated fruity and spicy aromas. Made according to the finest Bordeaux tradition, the grapes were picked perfectly ripe in 2011, which accounts for the very attractive bouquet.

Mouth

The wine is quite smooth and rich on the palate, providing immediate pleasure. Generous red fruit flavours are there from beginning to end. This wine can be enjoyed as of now with red meats, braised ham or a leg of lamb. However, it will also age well for the next 5-7 years

2015 Edition - Consisting of 50/50 Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this 2011 has an elegant black colour with deep purple highlights. The vanilla aromas imparted by a short time (three months) in barrel combine well with the ripe fruit.  The wine is soft and vinous on the palate with round, silky tannin. Generous and well-balanced. 2015-2018.
