Château Tour de Bonnet Red

Château Tour de Bonnet exists in white, rosé and red versions. This wine was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of a belvedere by André Lurton's grandfather, Léonce Récapet. The deep red colour is extremely attractive and the smooth, delicious and very soft tannin provides backbone to the long, elegant and fruity aftertaste.

Chateau : Château Bonnet
2015 red Château Tour de Bonnet label
Appellation : Bordeaux

Wine style

Soft and Sensual

Grape blend

Merlot 50% / Cabernet Sauvignon 50%.

Weather

2015 was the third warmest year since 1900... Drought conditions, above-average monthly temperatures and sunshine (in the first half of the year), cool nights and hot weather in August accompanying véraison (colour change) were all ideal for the vines!

Tasting Comment

Appearance

Beautiful deep red colour with dark highlights and purplish nuances.

Nose

Powerful bouquet with subtle hints of blackcurrant, as well as other fruits such as black cherry and blueberry.

Mouth

Beautifully generous and full-bodied.  The soft tannin contributes to great balance and an attractive long aftertaste. The aromas on the nose carry over to the palate, accompanied by subtle spicy overtones. This immensely pleasurable wine is best enjoyed young to take advantage of its exuberant fruitiness. It is ideal with cold cuts, quiches, and meat dishes.

2017 - 2020
