Château Tour de Bonnet Red

Château Tour de Bonnet exists in white, rosé and red versions. This wine was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of a belvedere by André Lurton's grandfather, Léonce Récapet. The deep red colour is extremely attractive and the smooth, delicious and very soft tannin provides backbone to the long, elegant and fruity aftertaste.

Tasting Comment

This 2018 Tour de Bonnet is a deep ruby-red colour, scattered with purple highlights.

The nose is pleasantly fruity, with notes of fresh fruit (cherry) and spicy overtones, making for a very delicious initial impression.

Starts out straightforward, becoming beautifully round, delicious and sweet. Notes of fresh red fruit (cherry) follow through to the palate. This charming and well-balanced Tour de Bonnet is ideal with grilled meats, cheese platters (Cantal, Camembert, etc.), or even a simple croque-monsieur.

Ratings and reviews

Gilbert et Gaillard :

Beautiful dark colour with purplish highlights. The nose displays black and red fruit notes underpinned by subtle oaky nuances. Attractively full-bodied and fruity on the palate with well-integrated tannin. A well-structured, delicious and aromatic Bordeaux wine.
