Weather

The winter of 2004 was marked by below-average temperatures and a water déficit. Summer weather was quite variable, but was not very hot. Sunshine was good in july, but there were heavy showers in August. September was remarkably warm with plenty of sunshine and high night-time temperatures.

Tasting Comment

Appareance

Intense deep ruby-red colour with brick-red highlights on the rim.

Nose

The bouquet displays very fresh red fruit aromas (strawberry, raspberry, cherry), mingled with empyreumatic notes of tobacco and forest floor nuances, which increase its overall complexity, topped off with a touch of menthol.

Mouth

Starts out soft on the palate, quickly gaining power and smoothness. A perfectly balanced wine from the very first sip to the finish. The oak is well-integrated, and the aftertaste is incredibly long, showing similar aromatics to the nose. This wine demonstrates all its qualities when served with dishes in a sauce.
