Do you have a special event to celebrate or are you planning a diner with friends? We will help you to find the perfect wine.
Hand picking, whole grape pressing, and fermentation and ageing in oak barrels with bâtonnage (lees stirring) are but a few of the quality-oriented winemaking practices enabling us to make the most of superb grapes. Featuring fruity and floral overtones, this wine consistently leaves the impression of a vivacious, distinguished wine.
Tender and Aromatic
Sauvignon blanc 100%
Winter and spring were very mild, but the summer of 2014 did not live up to our expectations: it rained heavily in July, and August was much cooler than usual. However, starting in September, a miraculous Indian summer with high temperatures, was very favourable to ripening.
Lovely, clear, very pale yellow colour with green highlights.
Refined well-focused nose revealing ripe fruit aromas of white peach, nectarine, and lemon zest when swirled in the glass.
Very pleasant thanks to an attractive richness and good body tempered by subtle acidity. Ripe fruit once again on the palate, accompanied by hints of grapefruit, pineapple, etc. The aftertaste shows some smoky overtones. This wine's elegance matches fish dishes beautifully.
Aromas of gun flint and dried apples follow through to a medium body, tangy acidity and a fresh and clean finish. Drink now.
Perhaps the Sauvignon Blanc is just a bit underripe? But overall there is such pleasing freshness that - especially after all those reds - this is just delicious! Bravo! (Panos Kakaviatos)
2016 Edition -
En Primeur 2014 - Nose of white fruit. Very crisp on the palate with good minerality. Fairly elegant, with good fruit and a salty flavour. (Jacques Dupont)
The Château Cruzeau Blanc 2014 has an attractive bouquet, the oak nicely integrated here with light hazelnut and citrus scents. The palate is fresh on the entry with good weight, a slight creaminess to the texture with a touch of tangy marmalade to finish things off. This has good potential and will provide pleasurable drinking over several years. (Neal Martin)
A straightforward, honest Sauvignon Blanc in a lighter style.
Apricot and white flowers on the nose, even soft roses, fresh acidity, heading to sour but kept on the right side by a lovely fleshy mid-palate helped by regular lees stirring. This is 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Drink: 2015-2019. (Jane Anson)
En Primeur 2014- (Antoon Laurent)
