Our «Caractères André Lurton» is a range of wines carefully created from appellations outside our own vineyards. Benefiting from our winemaking and oenological expertise, it was born from our desire to offer our customers a complete range of Bordeaux wines.

2016 was one of the finest vintages in the past 20 years. Winter was exceptionally wet and mild, and it rained a great deal in spring until June. However, the weather changed radically in mid-June, turning warm and quite dry, with cool nights. Ideal conditions for growing excellent wine grapes!

Tasting Comment

Attractive, brilliant ruby red colour with purple reflections.

Nose intensely fruity and very fresh, dominated by notes of red fruits, such as ripe strawberries and fresh cherries.

Mouth supple, full of generosity and gourmet. The structure is delicate with fine and discreet tannins, perfectly integrated. The whole is harmonious and melted. It is a wine that is perfectly ready to drink, charming by its immediacy and freshness. Serve it with grilled meats, salads, roast pork confit with onions (and any other white or red meat), or a cheese plate.
