Château La Louvière's second wine, L de La Louvière, is made with the same care and attention as its older brother. This wine is immensely attractive thanks to its roundness and fruitiness. It is produced according to traditional methods with a few modern touches in a prestigious location where art reigns alongside winegrowing.

Weather
Spring was very trying, with considerable rainfall leading to fungal diseases of all sorts. This called for very close attention in the vines until the 14th of July, when the weather changed durably for the better.
Tasting Comment
Appearance
L de La Louvière has a colour as fine as the grand vin: a brilliant, clear, deep red with purplish highlights.
Nose
The nose is tremendously fruity and spicy, with candied fruit as well as nuances of vanilla and well-integrated oak.
Mouth
The wine is immediately attractive thanks to its roundness, elegance, and freshness, accompanied by empyreumatic overtones as well as nuances of red fruit (cherry), spice, and vanilla. The long aftertaste shows high-quality tannin typical of the best terroirs in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. This wine is great with lamb and beef.
