2015 was the third warmest year since 1900... Drought conditions, above-average monthly temperatures and sunshine (in the first half of the year), cool nights and hot weather in August accompanying véraison (colour change) were all ideal for the vines!
Tasting Comment
Appearance
Brilliant deep, nearly garnet-red colour.
Nose
The attractive nose of red fruit (redcurrant), blackcurrant, and a hint of tobacco is very typical of Pessac-Léognan.
Mouth
Rich and delicious on the palate with beautiful balance. The hints of black and red fruit carry over from the bouquet. Wonderfully long, this 2015 red L de La Louvière is a delight with poultry, veal, and cheeses.
