André Lurton chose this name in honour of the two impressive stone lions that watch over the entrance to Château La Louvière. The grapes come from specific plots on the estate. The wine is very attractive: elegant, round and fruity.
Fresh and Fruity
100% Sauvignon blanc.
Temperatures were much higher than average from February to June, with much less rainfall than usual. There were already signs of drought at the end of Spring.
Made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc, the 2011 is a brilliant pale green colour.
It has a delicate bouquet that releases complex aromas of lime blossom, smoke and peach as it warms up in the glass.
The wine is every bit as refined on the palate, developing delicious flavours and a very long aftertaste underpinned by an attractive freshness. It is easy to imagine with a variety of foods such as Sea bream with lemon grass, Creole chicken in the coconut milk, etc.
