Les Lions de La Louvière Red

Home > Our Wines > Our wines > Les Lions de La Louvière Rouge

André Lurton chose this name in honour of the two impressive stone lions that watch over the entrance to Château La Louvière. The grapes come from specific plots on the estate. The wine is very attractive: elegant, round and fruity.

Tasting Comment

Appearance

Ruby red colour, with some raspberry reflections.

Nose

Very expressive nose, revealing gourmet notes of red fruits (cherry, strawberry), mixed with more mineral scents (graphite) from the barrel ageing.

Mouth

In the palate, the attack is supple. It is a wine with volume and fleshiness in the middle of the mouth. The tannins are present and well blended. The palate is well balanced, revealing finesse and elegance, with notes of red fruit - cherry. Nice finish. This wine can be enjoyed with a salad of confit gizzards, guinea fowl with chanterelles, veal escalopes or old Gouda cheese.
