Rosé de Bonnet Rosé

With its freshness and notes of currant and raspberry from a short maceration before pressing, it is the wine of all meals. Just fresh, with surprising length, it is a real value.

Chateau : Château Bonnet
2015 Rosé de Bonnet label
Appellation : Bordeaux

Wine style

Fresh and Fruity

Grape blend

Merlot 50% / Cabernet Sauvignon 50%

Weather

2015 was the third warmest year since 1900... Drought conditions, above-average monthly temperatures and sunshine (in the first half of the year), cool nights and hot weather in August accompanying véraison (colour change) were all ideal for the vines!

Tasting Comment

Appareance

Lovely, pale, rose petal and salmon-pink colour.

Nose

Good intensity on the nose with white peach, grapefruit, raspberry, and spring flower nuances.

Mouth

Elegant on the palate thanks to a balance between freshness, due to the understated acidity, and an interesting sweetness. The fruity aromas on the nose carry over onto the palate and there is a long aftertaste of ripe fruit. This wine is ideal as an aperitif, with picnics, fish dishes, etc.

Ratings and reviews

The Wine Enthusiast :

The mix of tannic texture, perfumed strawberries and tight acidity in this wine works well. The wine is tight, steely and offers raspberry and red-currant flavors. Drink from the end of 2016. (Roger Voss)

Blend of Cabernet and Merlot with a very fruity, aromatic nose. This is redolent of red fruit (raspberry and cherry), as well as peach and citrus.  Full-bodied, rich, and round on the palate with a slight sweetness balanced by a pleasant sensation of freshness on the finish. Altogether elegant and generous. A rosé that is great for celebrating fine weather with friends and loved ones. In addition, the screw cap makes the bottle really easy to open. Serve chilled. Very good! (Marc Roisin)
